In chapter three, Nisaka meets up with her new crush, Sanada, at the girls' school where she works as a nanny. She's super excited to see her, and she's all, "Hey, I'm going to meet up with you, and I'd like to see how you're doing. I've been waiting all day for you to show up, so I'll show you around." Nisaka's totally psyched to meet her, but she doesn't know how to respond to her crush's questions. She starts to get a little paranoid about her crush, and worries that she'll get into trouble if she talks to him in front of other girls. She also worries that he'll be jealous of her because he's such a nice guy. She tries to convince herself that she and Sanada aren't really friends, and that they should just chill out and have a good time. Nisaka starts to feel a little better about herself, too, and starts to talk about how nice she thinks her crush is, and how nice he is, too. She asks him if he'd mind if she talked more about him, and he says, "Sure, if you mind if I talk a little bit about nejima, but their sizes weren't totally different, his jersey, ever since I was a kid" . He also asks her if she would mind if he talked a bit more about his crush, since she'd be more interested in him than she is in her crush. She agrees, and they hang out for a bit, and then she starts to cry.
