In this chapter, Mina explains that she has received a notice from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Science, advising her to consult with her partners about their career paths. Mina tells her employer that she is going home for the day, and she asks him if he will be able to stay if she wants to. He tells her that he will, and Mina is sorry that he did not tell her earlier. She tells him that she loves him, but that she broke a rule when she gave in to his desires. She asks him why he was so angry at her, and he says that he was angry because she was giving in to her "immediate worst desires." Mina says that she will be returning to her father's house, and that she does not want to move on with her life. She wonders if arbor mart was her husband's partner, and wonders if things are going well with her and sanada. Mina wonders if she should have a conversation with her first love, and asks if she is still in love with her husband.
