After everything that has happened, the gang decides that they should hang onto the "stasis spell" thingy. They're not sure how to use it. First, they should not let anyone else know that they're in stasis. Second, they shouldn't kill anyone who's frozen. And third, they need to hide the stone before they leave stasis so that they don't have to explain it to anyone. They can't just hide it in the woods. They need to convince everyone else that they hid it. So they head over to the department store to pick up a few things for their mom. She's already gone for a walk, so they'll have to wait until she comes back. The guy selling them the toy is the one who left the money at the counter when they told him they were going to Japan. He's not a very nice guy, but he's got the right thing to do. They head back downstairs to check on sagawa, who seems to be in a good mood. The gang decides to head back up to the roof to get some rest.
