The narrator tells us that he's back in Japan. He's gotten a bunch of stuff from his mom, which makes him feel a little better. He tells her that he likes the food at her house better than the food he used to eat at Hiro's house. He also tells her about how he lied to her about going back to the States, and how he hopes they'll be able to get along now that they're back together. The narrator also tells us about how hina's preparations for her return to Japan are going well, and that she's not worried about him at all. He asks her if she'd like to go on a walk with him, and she says she'll do it. She also tells him that he has to keep working at the bar and restaurant because he has exams to take. He says he'll have to quit soon, though, because he wants to tease her about it. He then tells her to go out tomorrow to meet him. She agrees, and they make plans to meet the next day.
