The chapter opens with Hiroshi's declaration of his love for Mina. Mina is shocked by this declaration, and wonders how her sister feels about it. She tells Hiro that she is "completely indebted" to him for the work he does for her, and she wonders when he will be able to "let go" of her. Hiro tells her to go out with him for a drink, and Mina suggests that she ask her sister while they are out drinking. When she asks him why he is thinking about going out with her, he says that he thinks her sister would like him to do so, and that Mina's third-year-old daughter does not look like him
