"An unforgettable story" is the title of this chapter, and it's the first time we've heard it. The narrator tells us that he wants to make Mina happy. He wants to see her so badly that he's going to go out on a date. He's got a boyfriend, and he wants Mina to break up with him. He tells her that he doesn't have any money, but he'll do whatever it takes to make her happy. Mina says that she's never met Mina's mom, and she hasn't told him anything about the hospital. He says that he believes in Mina and her family. He wonders if Mina is sleeping with another man, and Mina points out that Mina is copping an attitude. He asks her to go home, but she refuses, saying that she didn't feel like going home. She's not going home, she says, because her mom is super lonely. She blames her dad, too, for making her feel like this. He blames Mina for making him feel bad, too. She had to give up her whole life to be with him, he says, and that's why he left her in his care. He also tells Mina that she shouldn't be living with a man, because it'll be awkward for her to live with one. He promises to get Mina some dinner, and they can go out for a walk.
