In this short scene, we learn that lunaison's affections for the vampire have been aroused only by his guilt over the fact that he has betrayed him. We learn that the two have been in love for some time now, and that the vampire is now ready to leave. He tells us that he wants to be with the vampire, too, but that he's not used to the idea of being a vampire. He wants to stay with the man who has made him so happy. He asks if he can stay with him forever, and the vampire says yes. He's excited by the kiss, but he knows that the man will have to return to his old stomping grounds to find a new suitor. He even thinks about kidnapping the vampire and taking him with him to his new stomping grounds. The vampire says that if he follows in his mother's footsteps, he'll be able to stay in touch with the boy even after he returns to his own stomping grounds
