The Governess tells the vampire that she'll "customize to your preferences" , but she's not going to tell him what he should do. She's worried that the vampire might be able to figure out a way to save the Governess, so she tells him to "bite rise" . He's a little freaked out, but he's going to play along anyway. He asks if he'll be reading human books, and the Governress tells him that he has a lot of "interest" in human books. She says that humans can be swayed by emotions, and that might be why they're so strong. She warns him that if he wants to do it, he'd have to get "Rise's help," but she doesn't know whether "Rise" will grant him his wish. He faints every time he tries to do that.
