Mr. Lorry arrives at the castle and asks what is going on. He asks if the boy is doing well, and lunaison tells him that he is. He tells Lorry that the boy has been interested in humans since he was a young man, and that he probably stayed in the castle because he was weak when it came to sunlight. He then asks Lorry why the boy didn't come with him, and Lorry says that he has been badly hurt. He wants to go home, Lorry tells him, but Lorry refuses, saying that he wants to stay and watch the boy. He says that if he doesn't wake up, he will never see the boy again, and if he does, he won't be able to contact him again. He goes on to say that if the human is dead, then he knows that the human has been killed in a car accident, and so he wants Lorry to take him away from the castle so that he can get rid of the human. He demands that Lorry bring the boy back to him.
