The narrator pushes away the silly things that the other students are saying. He asks if the students are looking forward to the day when they will be drawing stories. The narrator says that a lot of the students come to the roof to plan for the future. He says that if he passes the exam, he'll be able to go to the top of the roof and draw. He tells the narrator that he has asthma, so he's going to stick out at the club even though he doesn't like to stand out in front of other students.
