The story opens with a description of a lonely child who is always looking for another star. He is called "weiyu" and he wants to be friends with another star in the universe. The universe is closed off by a "flirtship" , which means that the two stars are separated by a distance of thousands of light years. The two stars finally come together and fall in love with each other.
