Shmoo asks the students if they've collected all the homework yet, and the students say that they haven't yet. He then asks the student who hasn't collected the homework to explain why he doesn't have enough time to complete his assignment. The student explains that he overslepted the night before and was dragged to the school by his dad to socialize. Shmoop points out that Shmoo is now in his third year at the school, and Shmoo says that he's also responsible for his student's lack of concentration.
