The next day, the emperor seems to have no idea what's going on. He doesn't say anything at all, and the servant tells him that he's welcome to stay. The servant tells the prince that the people of the temple are praying that they'll be able to survive the coming year because of the flooding. The prince says that his brother will protect the people, and that's all the prince needs to know. He's sorry that he let the prince down, and says that the princess is waiting for him in the back of the room. He asks the servant if there's a dye room in the temple. The dye room is dirty, and he can't get rid of it. He wants to see the emperor, but he'll have to go to the emperor himself.
