The two men are swimming together in a pond, and the prince asks the young man if his leg is better. The prince tells him that he has court affairs to attend to. The young man says that the prince is angry with him, but that he did not lock him up. He says that he only gets to see the prince during the night, but when he asks for kisses or other things, the prince would totally ignore him. He tells the prince that the western barbarians have been runningsacking the western side of the country, and that they have started to harass the border between the two countries. He suggests that the two sides enter an alliance through marriage.
