A few days later, Ling Ling is dressed in her wedding dress. She tells Ming that in the novel, Ming doesn't bring her into the palace, because she's a lowly peasant. Ming tells Ling Ling that she needs to get ready for the wedding, because the bride and groom need to get married. Ming says that he and Ling Ling have been drinking too much, and Ming says he's just thinking about the wedding. Ming asks Ling Ling if she has ever had a change of personality, and Ling says that she has always been like that. Ming then asks if Ling Ling knows that there is someone out there who is drunk. Ling Ling says she'll take care of him.
