The scene opens with the two of them taking a bath together in the pool. The narrator tells us that this is the first time he's been in love with someone in a long time. He's also the first person in his life who's had sex with someone who wasn't his lover. He tells the story of how, when they first met, he was determined to leave the northern kingdom. Now, he tells us, he feels like he might lose him again. He says that he'll give him a satisfactory answer after he returns from his trip to the north.
