About This Chapter
The emperor tells the emperor that he has something to tell him about the search of the palace. He also tells him that he ran into the emperor when he was leaving. The emperor says that the emperor told him that since he is no general, he does not need evidence to punish anyone. He says that he looked after the emperor as a child, and that now the emperor is a man of "integrity" as his chief general. He adds that the only thing he worries about is someone close to the emperor who would do him harm. He explains that he had never meant for the emperor to stay in the palace with him. The third day of the march onwards, the courier arrives at the imperial city. He waits for seven days for a silk cloth to be exchanged for a mutual identification. He tells his majesty that he is the emperor of northern kingdom. He asks the emperor why he couldn't have struck a deal with the prince when he had the chance. He goes on to say that even if he could not crack the prince down, the emperor still has "a thousand ways" to break the emperor down
