The scene opens in the statue room, where the statues are being dismantled. The statue is being dismantled, and the statue's owner, Mr. Olanyang, enters. He tells the statue owner that he is sorry that the statue has been destroyed, and that he will bring it back to the school. He also tells the statues owner that if he needs any more money, he can go to the mud pits and dig up the mud himself. The statues owner, however, does not wish to do so, and leaves the scene.
