The scene opens with a flashback to a dream in which the protagonist is wearing a necklace given to him by the teacher. The teacher asks the protagonist if he is busy, and the protagonist replies that he is, but that he cannot meet the teacher by the way. He then tells the protagonist that he does not want to see the girl again, because she has talent for art, and he wants to protect her. The protagonist, however, is not concerned about her talent; he is worried about his reputation and others' comments that he dare not to pursue after her.
