In this chapter, the headmaster and his assistant discuss how to prevent students from turning into "titans" . They decide that they need to find out more about the man who "turns kids into titans" , so they set up scanners to look for him. The headmaster tells the assistant that he's the one who turns children into titans, and the assistant says that's a good idea, too. He's been chasing after these kids for years, and it's taking a toll on his health. He says that if he hadn't been chasing these kids down, he wouldn't be able to do what he does now. The assistant agrees, but says that he doesn't want to go through with it. He wants to get rid of all the people who have been like him before, and he wants to make sure that they don't get turned into a Titan again. He tells the headmaster to let go of his student, but the assistant is too proud to let him go, so the headmaster tells him to get out of the room.
