The chapter opens with the narrator lamenting the fact that they've been featured in the front page of a magazine for the first time in four years. He's bummed that they didn't have a "thin green plastic poncho" , which would have made it easier for them to hide their wet clothes. He also laments that they haven't had a "limited edition pumpkin pie" . The narrator then goes on to complain about how much he's missed the point of their conversation. He complains about how the narrator keeps bringing up "new topics of conversation" that are way past what he should have gone home to do. He then complains about the lack of a "silly petra" to keep the conversation going. He says that he knows the narrator is a "type" who keeps getting up late and bringing up new topics. He tells her to "suck it up" and not to be a silly "petra." The narrator also complains that the conversation is getting late and that he doesn't know how to stop it. He admits that he was the type who kept bringing up topics that were way past where he was supposed to be going home. He adds that his impression of his dead mom got out of control, but that's because he'd been watching a lot of things. Now, he says, all they have to do is spend time playing poker and killing time with uno. uno is "pretty dull," he says. That's why they should play poker first . erwin
