In this chapter, Hirokazu continues his story of how he came to be in the position he is in. He tells the others that he is the one who is responsible for all of the events that have taken place in the past few days. He explains that he has been thinking about the events of the previous few days and has realized that there is one thing that all of them have in common: they all have a crying baby in their hearts. He is convinced that this crying baby is the cause of the various incidents that have occurred. He asks the others if there is anything that they can do about it, and they all say that they are willing to do anything to protect it. He then asks them if they think that mikasa is trying to break for it. They all agree that it is a blizzard outside, and that she must be trying to get away from it. She is not her real mother, he says, and he tells her to hurry and wash her face. He also tells her that she is not his real mother and that he will tell her everything. He says that he needs to find a place where he can hide his slipper, so that he can tell her the truth about what has happened. He adds that he found the slipper in the kitchen of the inn they were going to stay at. He had brought some meat in case he needed it. When he snapped , he searched within his curry but found meat in there. That was when he became my trigger . he says that the first thing he did was to blackmail Krikta into tampering with her pictures of Ymir. Then the devil finally sent his heart . and that led to the evil he just committed . He agrees to accept a sentence for his crime and says he will eat the entire thing for her not to worry
