Titan junior high is a place where "humans and titans" spend their school days together surrounded by impenetrably high buildings. The school does not have a club meeting today, so all of the students go out to eat at a restaurant called "Titan Pancake." The owner of the restaurant was a food scientist who discovered that a chemical called "unsulin" was a cake-enfattener that drove men "mad with butterlust." He quit his job to open the restaurant with a "challenge menu" . After eating fifty pancakes, the owner tells the narrator that he has defeated his "cake of death." The next day at the restaurant, the narrator tells the audience, "the next victim" will be "a high-class buffet restaurant." The narrator then goes on to tell the audience that the next victim will be a "wolf of white meat" , and that he and the others will have to try their "secret weapon" : "their a chinese restaurant challenge menu." The chapter ends with the narrator lamenting that he thinks this has "scarred all of you" for eating in such contests
