About This Chapter
In this chapter, the protagonist explains his decision to leave Titan Junior High School. He says that he has decided to entrust his "legacy" to the school's new principal, who will protect the students from the "titans" if he leaves. When he was a student, he read an old book about the lives of the students at Titan High School, and he became obsessed with the story of how the students of the school lived their lives without fear. He came to believe that he could "drive out all the titans" and give them a normal childhood. He tells the new principal that he wants to make sure that the school has a place for the "real" protagonist.
