Back at the office, Bovary is getting ready to go to bed. He's been working all day, and he's tired. He asks Bovary if he'd like a cup of coffee. Bovary says he already has his dad's approval for it, so he'll do it again soon. He tells Bovary that he and the boss are too busy working to have time for coffee, so they're going to have to wait until after work to have a drink.
