The scene opens in a cafe on the campus of Yonsei University in South Korea, where Yonsei's friend, Haebom, is waiting for his friend, Jiah, to return from a business trip. The two men enter the cafe and Yonsei asks Jiah if he is his friend. Jiah replies that he is, and the two men begin to argue about whether or not they are childhood friends. Yonsei says that they are, and that Jiah has bought a cake for them because it is the best one he has ever had
