The chapter opens with a conversation between Yonhap's team leader and his assistant. Yonhap tells his assistant that he has a typo in his report, but Yonhap reminds him that he used to print out the report and underline it so that it would be easier to read. He tells Yonhap not to let the mistake get to him, as it might make him the next one to be fired. The assistant replies that he worked hard to get to Yonhap, and he is glad to see Yonhap holding an ice cream. He asks Yonhap if he has been scolded by the manager before, and Yonhap says he has not been reprimanded because he was not smiling. He explains that he is not smiling because he works in the service sector, which is not a service-sector job. He adds that he does not make coffee every morning, as the manager does. He says that he knows that Yonhap will do well once he gets the hang of the new environment, because he has watched Yonhap for a while. When Yonhap asks if there is one more thing he has yet to get used to, the assistant says he is positive he will win, and they begin to kiss. They are interrupted by the sound of someone rushing outside, and the assistant tries to calm them down by saying that he will bring the handkerchiefs.
