When he wakes up, pat asks where he is going. He is surprised to find that he has been acting weird lately. He asks if his wallet is in his room. When he tells him that it is not, he says that he is glad that he did not lose it. He explains that he spent his childhood with his grandparents instead of with his parents like a normal child. He says that his parents came to visit him sometimes, but that his mother never came. He has to take his brother out of the house.
