In this chapter, we learn that the previous day, Jaegyun threatened to spread the rumor that the two of them were engaged in a sexual relationship. The narrator is not sure if he is gay or not, but he does know that it is normal for people to meet "weird people" in life. He does not know why he keeps getting involved with these kinds of people, and he does not want to hurt his feelings by denying them. He feels that he has no other way of dealing with this problem, and so he hugs the narrator and tells him that he knows his real feelings. He tells the narrator to turn the conversation to the topic at hand, which is the upcoming exams. He asks the narrator if he likes sweets, and the narrator replies that he does, but that he is confused as to how he can know. He goes on to ask the narrator's number, but the narrator is unable to give it.
