He does not want to be a part of the family drama, which is why he avoids talking about it with his son. He tells us that he has no idea what is going on with his family, and that they do not talk to him because they are afraid of what he will do if they find out. He says that he feels that if he tells them something, they will trust him, and they will not be afraid of each other. He asks if he can see his parents again, and he says that once they get some sleep, it will be forgotten.
