The chapter opens with the narrator's declaration that he will never again be controlled by his "demon boss" . He tells his friends and family that he has come to apologize for the mess they've made at the cafe, and that they should all clean up the mess themselves. He also tells them that his mom wants him to come back and teach her some more recipes.
