This chapter opens with a flashback to a time before the events of the previous chapter. It is the present day, and we are introduced to a new character named Misaki. Misaki is a former employee of Tamura's who is now working in the cosmetics department. She is shocked to find that her former boss has returned to the company, and she is happy to meet him. She tells him that he is welcome to come and see the company's products. She also tells him about her previous relationship with Tamura, and how she helped him to get along with a woman. She asks him if he would like to see her, and he tells her that he would, but only if she would take responsibility for her behavior. She then asks him how long he plans to stay at the company. He says that he will go out and greet other people, but she tells him to go get his grip. She says that she has been thinking about what has happened, and that she is the one who has messed up. She wants to know why he is the same as he always is, and why he has a rough mouth. He is a good man, she says, and has a sweet tooth.
