In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, who is introduced as "Muffin" . Muffin is a young woman who has just graduated from college and is now working as a prostitute in a brothel in New York City. She has a crush on a man named "Dump" , and she wants to know if he likes her or not. She asks him if he prefers long or short hair, and he responds that he prefers short hair to long hair. She then asks him what kind of eyes he likes, and when he says that he likes eyes that turn up or down, she says that she likes eyes with "upturned eyes" and eyes that look like they are "curling at my face." She also asks him to pick one of her eyes and kiss her on the lips. He does not seem to like her at first, but when he sees that she has kissed him, he realizes that she is in love with him.
