The narrator introduces us to a new character named Noel. Noel is a friend of Baru's from college. He's also a partner in crime, which means that he's in love with Noel's girlfriend, Mitsuki. Mitsuki tells Noel that she's here because she injured her boyfriend, and that's why she came to see him. She also tells him that she and Noel aren't really in love, but that they're good friends, and she'll be back soon.
