The next morning, the two of them go for a walk. The narrator says that he's glad to see that Hiro has gotten a little better. He's also glad that Hiro's a little more developed than he thought he would be. The two talk about how they're going to go to a party the next day, and the narrator says he'd like Hiro to be his partner. He doesn't want anyone to figure out who he is, though, because he'll have to go alone.
