The narrator arrives at the estate of his childhood friend, Master Shinji, and is greeted by the company president and his father. The narrator tells his father that he has decided that he wants to be his own man, and that he will do his best to make him happy. The company president tells him that he can have sex with anyone he desires, but that he must not make himself useful to him or anyone else. The father tells the narrator that the estate is on a different level from his own childhood home, which is not home to him. The captain of the company arrives and greets the master. He tells the captain that the house he was born in is no home for him, and he will be waiting for him right away. When the captain arrives, he finds that the people are all members of the shinji family and that the captain must be an "alpha." The captain is shocked to find that the man carrying the scent of shinji is actually the grandson of the man who gave birth to the son. He is sure that the grandson will not be able to take over the family business since he is of "daido blood" and cannot bear the "re sponsibility" of being "a daido."
