He wants to go to the launch site with his family, but he can't stand the sight of his father's house. He asks the staff if he can get a blister from his new shoes, but they won't let him in. The staff tells him that it's an important day, so they're going inside to watch the launch. They're also going to watch his brother's sister, who is supposed to be the sister of Shinji's old friend. The narrator is psyched to see his family in the control room.
