We also learn that if an omega spends time with someone in the same position as him or her, they're more likely to get a heat, which will make them even more vulnerable to the effects of the heat. So, if you're an omega and you've never had a heat before, chances are you'll get one soon. And if you haven't had one yet, you might get another soon. This is why Akari is so insistent that he be allowed to leave. He wants to know what's going on, but he can't figure out how to get rid of the scent.
