The narrator tells us that he and his twin brother, akari, have different health profiles, but that they're both good looking and healthy. They've both been sexually active since childhood, but they've never been in a heat. Now that he's older, though, the narrator is afraid that his body will grow up to be an alpha, and he hates his brother for it. He's also afraid that he won't be able to have sex with an alpha because he'll have to stay with a man who's hotter than he is. The narrator doesn't want to force an alpha to be his mate, but he does want to keep him company during the heat.
