The narrator tells us that he's a "liar mate" who's just trying to make a name for himself. He's not a very good artist, he says, and he doesn't deserve all the credit he gets for his work. The narrator then asks the guy if he'd like to live with him for a month. The guy says he'll have to bring his stuff to his place in order to do his work, but the narrator says he can do it if he brings his stuff. He also says he has an apartment that he can't live in because he needs to use it as a place to sleep during rashid's arrival in Japan. He says he respects the narrator so much that he won't be indebted to anyone. The clock that the narrator uses to track time is broken, but he promises to fix it in the future.
