In this chapter, we learn that the old man has died and that daigo has gone to look after him. We learn that this is the first time that we've heard of this kind of thing happening in the novel, and we're glad to hear that it's happening in real life. We're also glad to see that the young couple has decided to move to Costa Rica, because it'll be a lot easier for them to get used to their new surroundings.
