The Governess tells the Governess that she is as wonderful as she is, and that she deserves lots of rewards and lots of praise. She tells her that she has been training her to believe in her, so that she can believe in love too. The Governress thanks her, and they talk about the flowers. She asks why her bed is so messy, and she asks why she hasn't slept well the night before. She wants to know why she has dark circles on her face, and why she doesn't have new dresses to wear to the upcoming ball
