After the ball, Leon is finally able to go for a walk. He's tired from all the invitations he's received, and he wants to get some fresh air. He asks the princess to accompany him on the walk. The princess agrees, and they part ways. Leon tells the princess that he was adopted by the Howard family, and that the king has promised him the title of Marquis. He says that he doesn't feel lonely, but that loneliness is inevitable.
