The narrator tells us that he thought he might invite a couple of guests, but that he only invited himself. He says that he's been working too hard lately, and that tea can calm his nerves. The narrator says that every night when he goes to bed, he prays that he won't have a dream, but his dreams never come true. He wants to show the narrator the dream he had the night before. He asks the narrator to show him the dream so he can check it out. He tells her that she'll be in charge of the kingdom next year.
