In this chapter, we get a brief description of Leon's appearance. He's now three-quarters of a mile taller than he was when he was born, and he's even more impressed with his new height because he can see the future and the past at the same time. We learn that he lost his mother to the duke's family, and that his father was seriously ill. We also learn that Leon is a little obsessed with the fact that he can read the past and predict the future.
