We learn that it is the "barbarians with corrupt morals" who have influenced the princess to behave in such a scandalous way. The father is shocked at his daughter's behavior, and wonders how she will react to such an inappropriate situation. He knows that she is smart, and he knows that both of them are trying to manipulate her. He tells his daughter to ask for favors from her before she goes back to the kingdom.
