In this chapter, the young narrator asks the reader if he likes him because of his honesty. He tells the reader that he loves her because she saw the real him and she cares about him. The narrator says that he is still young and inexperienced, but that his thoughts of seeing her smile are getting more and more certain every day. He says that she is so sincere and so cute, and that he prefers a man who is straightforward. He feels that touching her allowed him to see his own past, and he feels that he can see the future now. He wants to know if she has the ability to read the future and the past at will, and if she can read everyone she touches.
