In this short scene, we meet the young heir to the earldom, ryan. He is angry that his father, the duke, has treated him so rudely. He tells the princess that he hopes the argument between his father and the duke did not make her too uncomfortable. He thanks her for her kind words and wishes her all the best. The princess tells him that he is wearing the same dress that belonged to the king, the queen, and his mother. He realizes that the king is wearing this dress to protect him from the duke. The narrator tells us that the princess will tell a spoiler about the next chapter.
