In this chapter, we learn that the Governess is pregnant and insists on working. The Governess sends someone to follow her to make sure she is safe and that she is not in danger. She tells us that she does not understand why Caius isn't trusting her anymore. She says that Caius tries to kill the baby in her womb every chance he gets, but she has learned how Caius died and tries to take revenge. She asks Caius to come out and have some fun with her. Caius says that since he is in the country right now, he can treat it like a meal with his old friends. He tells her that there is a girl named Lanlan who confessed to him but he rejected her. When Caius' mother asks him why he rejected Lanlan, he says that if he doesn't like her, he has to reject her.
