The patches sky beast tells Lan that he can't destroy the flame demon because he has only 14 spots to patch up. Lan tells him that he's the one who's responsible for the whole mess, and the only way he can get rid of him is by counting on the divine clan's power. Lan is all, "well, we're winning the war, so why don't you just kill the rest of them?" and flame demon is all "yeah, but I'm not going to let you kill me." Lan says that they're going to have to kill all of them anyway, and he and his brother are all "ooh, no, we can only count on you to do the job." Lan tells his brother to get his "hold of yourself" and "just do it" and they can go back to battle. Heeko says that if Lan doesn't do it, things are going to get "worse." Heeko tells him to hand over the "fiendfire pearl" and to tell him the whereabouts of the fire wall.
